Lenten Study Option: Wisdom in the Desert
As an option for a Lenten study, we are offering up Wisdom in the Desert by Lectio 365.
This study looks at the lives of some of the Desert Mothers and Fathers.
Each week contains a video (the first is ~7 minutes), a couple scripture passages, and some discussion questions.
Here are some suggested ways of interacting with the study.
You can watch the video together and read through the passages, engaging the discussion questions as a group. Just a note that the discussion questions are mostly geared to interact with the video content. So you will need to think up a couple questions to explore the scriptures together.
As leaders, you can pre-watch the video and summarize the content yourself. Then as a group you can explore the scripture and you as a leader can integrate video content summaries where they are most helpful. (I know not every group enjoys video studies!)
You can just focus on the scriptures and do some basic inductive Bible study work together.
